Our Story
In 1949, Kibbutz Nitzanim received 50 dunams of an abandoned orchard, originally planted 17 years earlier with oranges for the local market. Over the years, the orchards expanded significantly, becoming a primary source of livelihood for the kibbutz.
In the 1990s, an advanced packing house was established in Kibbutz Nitzanim, transforming into a leading technological center for citrus sorting and packaging. Today, the company cultivates over 20 different citrus varieties across thousands of dunams each year, also providing sorting and packaging services for external growers. Its produce is marketed in Israel, Europe, and the US under both local and international premium brands.

LEMON
The lemon is a highly sought-after citrus fruit, valued for its flavor and versatility. Hadarei Nitzanim cultivates two unique varieties:
Interdonato: A thin-skinned, tart lemon, ideal for culinary uses.
Meyer: Mild and aromatic, with a slight sweetness, perfect for desserts and beverages.
At Hadarei Nitzanim, lemons are carefully nurtured to ensure exceptional freshness and uncompromising quality.
MANDARINE
A Premium Citrus Fruit, Known for Its Sweetness and Easy Peeling.
These Are the Varieties We Grow:
Or: Exceptionally sweet, juicy, and seedless, considered one of the finest mandarins in the world.
Idit: Perfectly balanced in flavor.
Odem: Reddish peel with a delicate sweetness.
Ora: Highly juicy with a refreshing citrus aroma.
Eden: Particularly aromatic with a delicate texture.
Motek: Small and exceptionally sweet.
Miravit: Rich in flavor with a slight tartness.
Murcott: Very juicy with a thicker peel.
Satsuma: Extra-thin, soft peel, seedless, with a mildly sweet-tart taste.
ORANGE
The orange is the most iconic citrus fruit, loved for its sweet-tangy flavor and high vitamin C content. Hadarei Nitzanim cultivates seven unique orange varieties:
Newhall Navel: Sweet and juicy.
Navel Semi: Perfectly balanced flavor.
Gil Navel: Juicy and easy to peel.
Valencia Midnight: Rich juice, ideal for squeezing.
Rustenburg Navel: Full-bodied flavor.
Cara Cara Navel: Fruity and delicate.
Shamouti: The classic and beloved variety.
All oranges are carefully grown to ensure exceptional freshness, taste, and quality.
WHITE/RED GRAPEFRUIT
A citrus fruit rich in flavor, offering a unique balance of sweetness and tartness.
Hadarei Nitzanim cultivates two varieties of grapefruits:
White Marsh Grapefruit: Juicy with a sweet-tart taste, excellent for juicing and fresh consumption.
Star Ruby Grapefruit: Sweet with a deep red color, rich in flavor and highly nutritious.
CLEMENTINE
The clementine is a small, sweet citrus fruit, loved for its easy peeling and unique flavor. At Hadarei Nitzanim, we grow a delicious and exceptional variety:
Michal Clementine: Extra juicy, sweet, and well-balanced in flavor, with an easy-to-peel skin and almost seedless.
